PRICING CHANGES Air Products: Nov. 15—$0.04/wet lb. increase for vinyl acetate homopolymer and copolymer emulsions, all ethylene, vinyl chloride-based emulsions and acrylic-based copolymers in the U.S. and Canada; Dec. 15 —$0.12-$0.16/ lb. for all Airthane and Versathane polyurethane prepolymers in North America. Chemtura: Oct. 14—$0.66/lb. increase for calcium bromide 14.2, $0.99/lb. increase for zinc bromide/calcium bromide 19.2 and $0.54/lb. increase for sodium bromide 12.5; Oct. 28—$0.55/lb. increase for its flame retardant grade of antimony oxide; Nov. 1—$0.12/lb. for nonylphenol. Clariant: Dec. 1—the pigments and additives division has announced a significant price increase for selected products. Dow: Dec. 1—$130/MT increase for vinyl acetate monomer in Latin America, Asia Pacific and Middle East/Africa, €110/MT in Europe, $0.06/increase in U.S. and Canada. Huber Engineered Materials: Dec. 15—$26/ton energy surcharge for calcined clay and $8.00/ton energy surcharge for hydrous clay. Reichhold: Nov. 15—$0.05-$0.07/lb. increase for all acrylic, styrene acrylic, vinyl acrylic and vinyl acetate emulsions in North America; $0.15-$0.22/lb. increase for moisture cure urethanes in North America. Rohm and Haas: Dec. 1—$0.05/wet lb. increase for vinyl-acetate-based emulsions. Sartomer: Nov. 15—$0.10-$0.25/lb. increase for acrylate monomers, $0.06-$0.12/lb. increase for methacrylate monomers and $0.08-$0.15/lb. increase for oligomers in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Solvay Chemicals: Nov. 15—$3% increase for its CAPA caprolactone product line (monomer, polyols and thermoplastics. Sun Chemical Performance Pigments: Nov. 1—5% increase on flush colors in North America; Nov. 15—a fuel surcharge on all North American shipments.
